Please see listing of specific drugs that are prohibited in an Oxford House.

  • Individuals must be willing and able to work. If a person is unable to work due to a medical condition then, that person
must attend the AADAC day program and/or volunteer in the community (i.e. with the Salvation Army). Under no
circumstances will individuals be allowed to “hang around the house” throughout the day.

Primary Addiction – Alcohol and drugs

    Primary Addiction –Prescription Drugs
Must have had a minimum of a 28-day treatment program within the last year. Any medications must be reported prior to admittance to an Oxford House and they must be physician prescribed.

Primary Addiction – Cocaine, Heroin, Morphine & Amphetamines (Speed)
These individuals must have successfully completed a 6 week in-patient treatment program, and must be willing
to attend any day program recommended by the Housing Supervisor.

We have been in operation for twelve (12) years, and it is our experience and statistics confirm that the above
conditions are required for Oxford House to remain successful.

Our current residents are grateful and sincere about their sobriety. We believe that by allowing people into
Oxford House who do not meet the above conditions, problems are created in the house, and risks the sobriety
of all the residents in the house.
